AR Celebration!

We rocked it out at the AR celebration today!  I got to honor 15 of our students for achieving their AR goals this quarter.  I am very proud of all their accomplishments this year.  We wrote letters to next years third graders, with advice from the pros.  The students were also helping me to move my classroom.  Next year I will be teaching first grade.  I will be out in the "Learning Cottages" (room M3).  Please stop by next year and tell me how your child is doing in fourth grade.

Happy Heritage Day!!

Thank you to all of the parents that came for Heritage day!!  We had a lot of fun today.  We began the day going to the assembly, where we learned the history of Pineville.  We went back to the classroom and watched a Reading Rainbow episode about heritage and creating a family tree.  We got to hear the author Patricia Pollaco speak about her book The Memory Quilt.  We created our own quilt squares and then enjoyed our picnic lunch.

AR Assembly is next Thursday!!  Time is to be announced.  As of right now no one in our class has made their AR goals.  The students will continue to work every day to make their goals!!
